The Five Divines

Deities are supreme beings and watchers of the worldly plane... at least according to myth. The power of the Deities is said to be eternal and unrivaled even by the fiercest of warriors. This has resulted in the birth of the alias name 'Divines'.

The legends speak of five ethereal planes, each of which is said to be ruled by one of the five Divines. Many theories explaining the existence of these divine beings can be heard across the land echoing through bars, brothels, and churches alike... but these are theories and nothing more.

According to legend, each of the five Divines is a pure concentration of one of the five Eternals: Body, Life, Spirit, Mind, and Death. These legends have led the inhabitants of the worldly realm to worship the Divines, often resulting in theological and territorial tensions. These theological differences are believed to be one of the key catalysts driving the dawning of the Great War.

Tyros, the Rage of Hegnaros

Tyros, said to be a pure concentration of the Body Eternal, is a Warrior Deity. Tyros' rage and fury are said to be immeasurable and unmatched, truly making him a force to be reckoned with. Tyros draws on the power of fire to disintegrate his foes and those who are unfortunate enough to face his fury are often left as nothing more than cauterized remnants of their former selves. Tyros rules over the ethereal plane of Hegnaros, the burning frontier and is the patron deity of Rahk'tar.

Xor, the Wrath of Etheros

Xor, said to be a pure concentration of the Life Eternal, is a Warrior Deity. Xor is believed by many to be the greatest tactician and the mightiest of the five Divines. Xor uses the power of thunder and lightning to obliterate his enemies from existence and it is said that even the thickest of armors melt like butter in the wake of Xor's wrath. Xor rules over the ethereal plane of Etheros, the golden frontier and is the patron deity of Othrond.

Valeria, the Voice of Vataros

Valeria, said to be a pure concentration of the Spirit Eternal, is a Sprite Deity. Valeria is rumored to be the most beautiful and compassionate being in existence. She is attuned with nature, which she calls upon to punish any beings that may threaten her existence. Unlike the other Divines, Valeria prefers to leave battle as a last resort and will sooner charm or manipulate her adversaries to avoid direct confrontation. Valeria rules over the ethereal plane of Vataros, the expansive frontier and is the patron deity of Vás Dorin.

Aria, the Vision of Telaros

Aria, said to be a pure concentration of the Mind Eternal, is an Elemental Deity. Aria is thought to be the epicenter of intelligence. She possesses the gift of infinite knowledge, which she uses to stay one step ahead of her enemies. It is believed that Aria is able to see through time itself and bend it to her will, making the existence of her enemies a question in itself. Aria rules over the ethereal plane of Telaros, the brilliant frontier and is the patron deity of Targul.

Vladimir, the Thirst of Doloros

Vladimir, believed to be a pure concentration of the Death Eternal, is a Vampire Deity. Vladimir is by many thought to be an incarnation of pure chaos. The speed of Vladimir's actions is rumored to transcend time itself. Legends say that if one is able to achieve a state of perfect silence, they can hear the screams of Vladimir's victims rippling through time itself. Vladimir rules over the ethereal plane of Doloros, the fleeting frontier and is the patron deity of Nuledzar.
